Chateau de la Couronne is an ancient stone Chateau, built on the edge of a tiny village in France right on the border between the Dordogne and
Charente regions of south-west France. Behind its original exterior sit cool, fashionable interiors which have been featured in design
magazines and books the world over. Your own "Boutique Chateau".
Available for hire on an "exclusive use" basis, the Chateau sleeps up to 26, and is designed so that guests can enjoy extensive facilities in a beautiful Chateau, decorated and furnished with care and love, yet feel utterly relaxed. Ours is a family destination - unpretentious, yet with a keen eye for the details that turn a nice holiday rental into something very special.
There's loads of fun to be had around the Chateau grounds. The heated 14.5m x 6m pool - designed with steps at one end, fully walled with a double-locked entry gate for security - is surrounded with sun beds and a terrace to lounge on. The 5 acres of grounds include your own private football pitch, basketball net and a table tennis table, and space galore on the lawns of the formal gardens for a bit of Frisbee, hide and seek, or a snooze in the sun
There are five salons, all for your private use - one with a bar, one with a baby grand piano, and three with french windows opening on to the garden terrace with its tables and parasols and views of the manicured formal gardens with mature trees and lines of yew.
And when all that fun gets too much, you can relax in one of the nine big bedrooms. All designed with that boutique feel, with care and flair, and all with flat screen TV, DVD player, tea and coffee making facilities, some even have wine chillers.
And then there is the bathroom design! Big, luxurious, decadent. Some with two tubs, some incorporating the Chateau's turrets, all great places to unwind. And they all come provided with both bath and pool towels, bathing products, hair dryers, even our own fluffy bathrobes.
