CATERING & BAR SERVICES

Can we self-cater or choose our own caterers? The Château features an exclusive catering team to cater for the duration of your stay. External caterers are not permitted. Confirmed bookings receive a complimentary menu tasting directly with our Wedding Day caterers based in Angoulême (subject to availability).

Can we bring our own alcohol and is there a corkage fee? You can bring your own alcohol for the reception or wedding meal (corkage applies), and drinks for the rest of your stay must be purchased from the Château.

Do you offer food and drink packages? Yes, catering and drinks packages are available across the three days of events.

Is there a bar on site with the option of having a bar tab? The chateau features the 'Chandelier Bar' which is fully stocked with regional wines and Champagnes, spritz cocktails, branded spirits and beers. Pre-paid bar options are available with customisable limits on singles, doubles, shots, and more. Alternatively, guests can pay for their own drinks.

Do you cater for allergies and children? We accommodate most allergies and intolerances with advance notice and offer a children's menu for those under 10.

PRICING, BOOKING & SERVICES

Is there a minimum spend? Yes, we implement a minimum spend to ensure you achieve the wedding of your dreams and all necessary costs are covered. Contact us to discuss further.

What is the deposit, and do you offer a payment plan? To secure your booking, an affordable flat fee deposit is required, and this is non-returnable. For additional payments, a pre-agreed plan is always in place to give you peace of mind.

Do you offer midweek weddings? No, we only accommodate weekend bookings from Friday to Monday.

Do I need to hire a wedding planner or can I just hire a day coordinator? Due to the planning required, the château insists all weddings are managed by a professional planner. A list of (highly!) recommended planners will be provided upon booking. You're in safe hands!

Do you have a list of recommended suppliers? Yes, we provide your chosen wedding planner with an exclusive list of suppliers. Combined with their own established connections across various styles and price ranges, they will curate a tailored list to suit your preferences.

Are staff included? Waiting and bar staff are provided on the wedding day. Staffing for the shoulder days is an additional cost, depending on your catering requirements and guest count.

VENUE FEATURES & POLICIES

Are fireworks allowed? Yes, category F2 fireworks are allowed, provided they are managed by a professional.

Can we have a small fire during the ceremony for religious reasons? Yes, provided it is handled by a professional.

Are tables and chairs included? Stylish cross-back chairs and long wooden tables are available to hire for the wedding day and are part of the optional prop hire package.

Is there a PA system? The château does not provide this service, however this is something almost all DJs provide as part of their services.

Is there a curfew? Music is permitted to be played indoors until 2 am and until 10 pm outdoors.

Is there disabled access? Yes, ground floor accommodation and accessible bathroom facilities are available.

Is there a backup in case of bad weather? Yes, the banquet hall serves as a backup ceremony and dining option, seating up to 120 guests, and the drawing room seats up to 70. For weddings larger than 120, we recommend hiring a marquee for dining.

Is there a swimming pool? Yes, there is a large, modern swimming pool to enjoy with sun loungers and parasols.

Is there air-conditioning? Yes! This is a real luxury to have in a château, and all bedrooms feature recently installed air-conditioning to keep you cool.

Are dogs allowed? Yes, we love welcoming (well-behaved) dogs to château, and they can be part of your day if you wish.

VENUE LOGISTICS & AMENITIES

Is the venue exclusive to our party and not open to the public? Yes, the Château is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay.

What is the venue capacity? The estate can sleep up to 39 people, and we are able to seat up to 120 indoors and 200+ outdoors.

Do you have local accommodation recommendations and travel advice? Yes, there are plenty of accommodation options nearby to suit all budgets. Travel advice is also available in the brochure provided.

What are the check-in and check-out times? Check-in: Friday at 4 pm Check-out: Monday at 11 am

Is there a church nearby or a celebrant available? Your wedding planner is able to arrange a celebrant, or a member of your wedding party may officiate. The village has a Catholic church and a Christian church nearby in Montbron (residency requirements apply for legal marriage in France).
